To control the menace of ragging on & off the campus, the following committee/squad is constituted. The committee shall ensure ragging-free atmosphere on the campus.

The members of the committee shall maintain a constant vigil to curb the menace of ragging & take immidiate action, if any incident of ragging happens in the campus. The Convener shall submit a report to the undersigned, if any incident of ragging takes place.

Gender Sensitization Cell (Sexual Harassment Committee)

In pursuance of the directions issued by the Hon'ble Supreme Court in the judgement of Vishaka & Others v/s. State of Rajasthan & Others reported in 1997(6) SCC 241, we has constituted a complaint committee as per sr. no. 1 & 2 cited above & now, due to existence of new Act with regard to sexual harassment of women at workplaces (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013

The committee will prevent discrimination and sexual harassment against women, by promoting gender amity among students and employees. It will deal with cases of discrimination and sexual harassment against women, in a time bound manner, aiming at ensuring support services to the victimized and termination of the harassment and also recommend appropriate punitive action against the guilty party to the President.

Functions of SC/ST Cell

  1. To ensure proper implementation of various scheme of Government of India and State Govt. concerning scholarship, stipends etc. for welfate of reserved categories.
  2. Capacity Building Sessions; Conducting/Coordinating Training Programmes for Students and Staff, Teaching and Non-Teaching time to time.
  3. Grievance Redressal; for any grievance(s) regarding academics, administrative or social problems. The Cell render them necessay action and advice/help to resolve the matter.
  4. To take up such follow up measures for achieving the objectives and targets laid down for the purpose by Govt. of India.

Training and placement Cell

To guide students to choose right career and to give knowledge, skill, and aptitude and meet the manpower requirements of the Industry, the following cell is constituted. The cell will ensure overall development of students with relevant and conceptualized professional skills and guiding them towards a bright future and career all around the world with the values of – ‘Sincerity’, ‘Hard Work’ and ‘Ethics’.

Objectives

Training and Placement Cell is to guide students to choose right career and to give knowledge, skill, and aptitude and meet the manpower requirements of the Industry.

Motive

  • To assist students to develop/clarify their academic and career interests, and their short and long-term goals through individual counseling and group sessions
  • Gathering information about job fairs and all relevant recruitment advertisements.
  • Coordinating with companies to learn about their requirements and recruitment procedures
  • Identifying the needs and expectations of the companies to assist them in recruiting most suitable candidates.
  • Organizing pre-placement training/workshops/seminars for students.
  • Arranging periodic meetings with Human Resources Department of companies and TPO's to promote recruitments.
  • To assist students for practical training at the end of the Second year.
  • To provide resources and activities to facilitate the career planning process.
  • To act as a link between students, alumni, and the employment community.
  • To assist students in obtaining placement in reputed companies.

Career Guidance

  • Highlighting articles on departmental notice boards regarding Competitive & Industrial Career Opportunities.
  • Inform students about the available job opportunities in government sectors and off campus drives.
  • Arranging Motivational Talks.

Keeping in view the industry requirements, the training curriculum is designed for preparing the students for entry-level Graduate Pharmacist Trainees.
